I am set to be released in March of 2007 & plan on enrolling in Community College. I need information on grants & student loans, how to obtain information on other assistance programs to help during this transitional period. I've been taking correspondence courses in business but won't be able to finish before being released. I could also use information on where felons can obtain employment in Colorado as well. I basically have NO legitimate life skills, I don't even know what I need to obtain housing legitimacy, driver's license, or bank accounts. Any information that you may think helpful will be appreciated. Thank you!

I am due to be released this fall in September and basically have nothing left upon my release. Prior to my incarceration I lost all my family in a short period of time leaving me with nothing or no one to come home to. I do not like to depend on others and should not take me long to get back on my feet again. I have no where to live or stay, I need financial help. Any support or help offered would be greatly appreciated and accepted till I get back on my feet.

Richard Brown
I am due to see the Parole board in August 2006. I have a sentence of 10-20 years. I have been incarcerated since October 1995. I pled guilty to all the crimes I was charged with and I really feel I fully deserved to be in prison for what I did. I took responsibility for the crimes I committed and now it's time for me to move on with my life. I hope to be released from prison by the beginning of 2007. I will need financial assistance, clothes and a place to reside. I also will need a job. I have held numerous jobs throughout my employment history. I do have a certificate for basic building maintenance. I am interested in obtaining my commercial driver's license so I can become a truck driver and operate heavy equipment. I am also interested in woodworking. I am a hard worker, willing to relocate out of Pennsylvania for the promise of work and residence upon my release. All I am asking for is a chance to better myself. I do have a current valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Remember this: there is more to a man than the worst things he's ever done.

Justin Thorpe
Dear Pen Pals,
Hello! I am seeking a responsible individual interested in sponsoring me for a correspondence course in law. The program is offered by Blackstone Career institute. It covers every aspect of law and is 2 years long. Upon completion of the program I will receive a certificate and diploma certifying me as a paralegal. I am very excited about this opportunity to turn my life around and in the process help others. Blackstone was founded in 1890 and has been teaching law since. They are a very respectable program. Every month I will be tested and graded on this test. All scores will be sent to me. The cost of the 2 year course is $799.00. However I would choose to pay the NO INTEREST payment plan of $29 for the first month and $39 each additional month. No money would be sent to me. Out of appreciation I would offer my legal services at NO COST to my sponsor, whether it be civil, criminal, or even business law. I could do all research and prepare briefs or motions according to your legal dilemma. If you are interested in sponsoring me, please write me at the address below. You may also wish to check out my web page on this site. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Justin Thorpe

After so many years of wrongful incarceration I have spent all trying to break free from this injustice. I need everything from basic financial support to a vehicle, driver's license, clothing and personal care items. I am seeking an opportunity in my career as a certified personal trainer. You'll find I am self-motivated, trustworthy, diligent, professional, proactive and enjoy being self-sufficient. With some aid I will be productive immediately. I would be an asset to someone willing to help and I am a faithful friend. I have familiar ties in Ohio but am open to relocation depending on my opportunities.
