Can you imagine what it feels like to be wrongly imprisoned and NOT receive much mail, NOT receive many visits and NOT receive outside support to help make life behind prison walls easier? It is a very lonely, empty, discouraging feeling. Mail is something I hope to receive each day to help maintain my humanity and get me through to the next day. It is very disappointing to hear/see everyone else get mail and have the guards pass me by at mail call. To make matters even worse, there are times when some guards will try to make people feel even worse about their not receiving any mail, by purposely calling them to the door and telling them "YOU DON'T HAVE ANY MAIL" in a loud singsong voice so everyone can hear. I did NOT enjoy having this done to me, several times. I hope you will help put an end to my NOT receiving mail by writing to me.

****** My name is Preston Hughes III. I am a very lonely man, 40 years of age (DOB Dec. 24th of 1965), wrongly imprisoned on death row in Texas, since May 17th of 1989, struggling to save my life and regain my freedom. I am seeking correspondence with someone who will help ease my loneliness and help to make my life as easy as possible considering the unfortunate circumstances.

I am a very easy-going person who loves to have fun. I like art, music, poetry, reading and practicing martial-arts. I also like to write, of course, that is, when I receive mail to respond to. I am interested in corresponding with women 39 years of age and over (will write to women under 39, will also write men) who are kind, caring, compassionate, understanding and non-judgmental. Easy-going, free-spirited women with a nice personality and good sense of humor who can possibly come to visit me every now and then. In the event you are truly sincere about befriending someone in my unfortunate situation and you want to help put an end to my loneliness and help make life as easy as possible, please, do not hesitate to write.
