In prison we aren't allowed much from friends in the free world except for mail, (photos, letters, books, magazines) the occasional visit or phone call, that's it. So it's baffling when friends leave you hanging at the worst time of your life. All I want is to laugh at the joke, the goofy guy at your job, told today, I want to be excited about the new movie you went to see and told all about, I want to smile at the pictures from the party you went to, I want to groove to the new song you said I should listen to, I want to enjoy hearing about you staying in watching your favorite T.V. show, reading a good book or cooking and eating a good meal, I want to cheer you up after a bad day, I want to be happy because I'm a friend of someone, hopefully that someone is you.
