Jeffrey Hacking

Hi, I'm Jeff.
I'm an unexpected artist swimming in a cage, trying not to see the rusty bars, but the ripping spaces between. In my previous life I was a hippy geophysicist in charge of plundering the Earth. Now my eyes are open to my errors and all I want to do is walk again along the quiet shore of my favorite alpine lake high in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. There's a smooth boulder waiting there, silent as a Buddha, for the return of my bare feet...

In accordance with my hero Charles Darwin, I've had to evolve here in captivity from a conspicuous consumer into a student of beauty, a restless artist, painter of mountains, animals, flowers and women. All of the things that I haven't seen in many years. I'm also an accidental writer, uncoordinated musician, uncertain Spanish student and shameless South Park groupie.

I would like to correspond with honest people who are connected with the Earth and their own hearts and minds. Letters can be from anywhere in either English or Spanish. I'm eager to hear from artists, writers, musicians and other thoughtful humans to share inspirations and stories of hope and real feelings.
