James Chappell

Hi!
I'm 6 ft. 2 in., weigh 190, have brown hair and eyes with a lot of tattoos.
I have been locked up for a little over 5 years and do not really know how long I will
have to do. Because under the laws of my convictions I have no mandatory release date,
they don't have to let me go until the full time is done, which is the year 2054.
However I could make parole anytime after 2007.
I am looking for new friends who enjoy to write and send in a few pictures. I like to see
new and different places. So pictures of anything that keeps the mind away from thinking
about this place is a wonderful thing.
I really enjoy to listen to music, most of the bands that I've always listened to aren't
played on the radio too much. However it does play some things that I've come to like
almost as much.
For the next best thing I can find to occupy my days is to read. Which takes up most all
my days and result in my having read almost everything on the unit where I'm at. There
are a couple of ways to get new books around here, and I spend a lot of it tracking them
down. Really it is worth it, and keeps me out of a lot of the trouble this place can
breed.
I also like motorcycles and fast cars. When I was outside I had a 69 Triumph Bonnivue
and a 76 Malibu. In the past I've had quite a lot of other cars, and enjoyed them a lot.
Race and age really not an issue and would love to hear from all different countries but
I only speak English.

SKITZIN
It's 3 a.m. and I haven't been to bed
Just thought I'd get up and get high instead.
I'm tweeking out the window through a crack in the blinds,
I thought I heard something, but I'm just not certain.
There it is again, that strange kind of sound,
Like someone is out there sneaking around.
I wonder who they are or what they could want.
Is it thieves in the night, or a fed with a warrant.
I know that they are still out there with all eyes on me!
There's two on the ground and one in the tree.
They have night vision glasses to see in the dark
I had a pair too, but tweeked them apart.
They can hear every word with their parabolic toys.
So much as a whisper or the slightest noise.
Well now I'm in luck! Here comes the sun.
I'll catch them this time when they try to run.
How could they leave me and not let me see
not even the one that climbed in the tree.
I'll have to wait until tonight
Just to see if I was right.
I'll never know if it was the feds,
Unless they kick in my door, while I'm sound asleep in my bed.
(This poem was written a while ago and reflects some of the things that was going through
my head at the time. Even today I read it and think it is quite funny. While at the same
time I'm just glad that this way of life is no longer my total outlook on what I wish my
life to be. That being said I hope you enjoy it as much for the irony it involves as the
dark humor.)
