Beverly Bret Lawless
Hi!
I was born in Richland County hospital ; 10/14/1958, at Olney, Illinois; I a White Jew, my religion is Christian, my
eyes are 3/4 blue and 1/4 green in color. My hair on my head is brown; it was light gold until I turned 13 years old.
I am serving two life terms; one stacked on the other one; plus ten years; I have been incarcerated since 1996, this time,
for small crimes. (I cannot ever get out of prison).
Prison is a repetition of the day before; I am in the part of prison where, I stay in my cell, 24 hours a day- 23 hours a
day, if I go to the yard? I don't go.
The crimes I am incarcerated for 1. Felon in possession of a gun, 2. Bribery, 3. Retaliation.
I love quiet, yet, prison is full of noise; a quiet night is a gift.
My sex life is like so much of the world mixed up; I have had many same sex relationships; I also have had straight
relationships. I played the role of female by my by choice in the same sex relationships; thanks to God, He got me
changed some.
I have a beautiful daughter, who was born in the year: 1980, her name is Tonya.
Before coming to prison, ten years ago, I was living in Linden, Texas (since 1979).
I was working auctioneer, by trade: I called my first auction at 12 years old; years after I went to auction school
to improve; I was good at auctioneering, so I was paid good, for calling auctions; I also ran antique stores, for
myself and others.
I read a lot, I love to study, most of all; religion and history.
I raised dogs when I was free; first for the love of them, second for the profit from selling them.
Some convicts are "ICEBUILT", but I reach for love and/or friendship from the heart.
Prison, also cannot stop GOD, or Jesus Christ, so I try to stay close to them in prayer.
Prison has 80% of its convicts that live to bamboozle someone, 20% of us are people who took the wrong turn on life's road.
I write poems, song words and draw some.
I muse on sun bright days; dreaming of bare feet waling, on a country road, hand in hand, with a lover.
I love the United States of America; I am unhappy at the fact, of the USA demoralizing as a nation.
Always feel free to ask me anything, I have nothing to hide; call me by either of my names: BEVERLY or BRET, your choice or both.
I look forward to the letter I receive from you; I hope we will become lifetime friends in letter and in heart.
Please write back to me soon!
I will write as often as I can, I seek for donations to buy stamps and needful things with; if you want to
help me, let me know and I will show you the way it must be done for me to receive it. Thank you, Please
write, even if you can't help me out.
Cordially,
Beverly

MY LITTLE RED BANDANA
Father God, come bathe me in Spirit,
For I am growing weak.
Let one little drop of water fall
Upon my burning cheek.
Tell my loving little schoolmates
that I never more will play;
Give them all my toys, Father God;
Put my little red bandana away.
I am growing tired, Father God;
You will don't forget, Dearest Father;
Put my little red bandanna away.
Soon I'll say to all, good day.
Jesus Christ & Santa Claus, they gave it to me
with a lot of other things;
Put my little red bandana away.
I think Jesus sent an Angel,
With a pair of pure white wings,
Father I'll be a Angel by perhaps another day.
You will don't forget Dearest Father;
Put my little red bandana away.
Come, sister, come, kiss me goodnight,
For I've my evening prayer have said.
I am tired now and sleepy, too,
So put me in my little bed.
Dear Sister, what did Mother say
When she was called to Heaven away?
She told me always to be good
And never, never go astray.
I can't forget the day she died;
She placed her hand upon my head,
She whispered softly, "Keep this bandana my child"
******************************************
And then they told me she was dead.
Father God; you will don't forget Dearest Father;
Put my little red bandana away,
I think Jesus sent an Angel for me,
Father I'll be an Angel by perhaps another day.
Put my little red bandana away.

"When it Snows"
When it snows
Snowflakes remind me of frozen tears,
My woman left with my smile,
I think of her every once in awhile,
When it snows
I wonder: how many I love yous in a frozen ocean:
How many lost smiles in a frozen stream of tears;
Our love grew cold, and froze through the years,
When it snows
I feel she left with the sun,
When the cold wind blows, I reach for her,
Warm smiles, holding hands, loving days that were,
When it snows.
Thinking of her is like a rainbow,
It comes on singing in color, and fades away,
Only the memory will stay,
When it snows.

"Uncle Tom"
Wake up! Wake up! Uncle Tom!
Uncle Tom; it's too late,
The towns people hung sister Kate.
Uncle Tom; your cabin was burned,
The white man took you away,
Aunt Freedom died today.
It's too late!
Prison is your home,
The white man left you all alone.
Wake up! Uncle Tom!
Find the key,
Before you're a ghost like me.
Hello, Heaven hi!
It's Aunt Freedom; wake up Tom,
Lord Jesus is here with your Mom.
WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Uncle Tom!
